After the debut ep - also released on Abutre - that unveiled the essence of the album, finally is available the first long play from Jóni Vieira's intimist project, 1 is the Lonely Number. Created between 2007 and 2009, this work develops the general point of view about the human being and his troubles, mixed with a quite intuitive vision about the every-day issues. It goes through the links between Man, his roots and a cold city, faceless, destroyer of identities.

Fabula is the name of Abutre's latest release, the new single from Ghost Orchid. This track goes through a mist of instrumental post rock, with the artwork being developed by the Ghost himself.

Abutre's next release will be a blast from the past , powered by Universe Denied, once 3 original tracks, from 1999, were found that weren't featured on the album the universe is just part of the labyrinth.

The musician, composer and producer André Fernandes (featured on several Abutre projects) is working on the movie Um Funeral à Chuva, directed by Portuguese film maker Telmo Martins, which features important names on its cast such as Adelaide João, Alexandre da Silva, Hugo Tavares, Pedro Diogo, Pedro Górgia, João Ventura, Luís Dias, Sandra Santos and Sílvia Almeida.

The album "invisible landscape" from (aura), will be released in digipack format, in the beginning of 2009, by Abutre. The album will feature expanded artwork and José Ramos's photos.

The album “invisible landscape” was placed on the 22nd spot in the Marsupilami's 2008 ranking for “best Portuguese album”. (aura) was ranked ahead some quite known and supported projects such as Moonspell, etc.

Due to the enormous interest generated with this release, at this moment there are several record companies interested on releasing this album, in CD. Being an excellent opportunity for the artist and existing the possibility of being a co-production with Abutre, this work is no longer available in digital format, having been - in a certain way - a limited edition. In any way, (aura) continues entailed, ideologically, to the Vulture and will produce more tracks for this label of yours.

Fabula, the next single from Ghost Orchid – which will be released soon by Abutre – will be presented with its official video clip. The film will be directed by the young Oporto video artist Gustavo Sá, whose last two short films were part of the official selection of Fantasporto, in 2008.

The eighth release from Abutre is now available, the single the ant. Ricardo Vieira, The Other Side's drummer, followed his one trail and unveiled himself as a composer, in deep bipolar dives, projecting his voice in this trama. Mind Shelter comes as a self destructive impulse of thinking. Surrounded by noise and shadows, it explores alternative musical streams, emerging from on an ocean of color and happiness, being similar to an involuntary double personality. The simple sound mixtures transmit the complexity of thoughts, creating diversified ambiences. This track comes as a preview from the upcoming debut album.

Everybody knows that Iceland is a landscape graced with rare specimens and has a quite distinguished fauna of experimental and innovative music. But – besides known names such as Björk, Sigur Rós or Múm – there's an all universe (yet to find) of projects, sculptured by the icy breeze, that tend to challenge the barriers of creativity and emotion. Abutre Netlabel – with the collaboration of the web portal Iceland Music Export – is preparing a compilation with the new names and the best kept secrets from the Icelandic scene. This project will have a graphic component, as well, once the artwork will be developed by artists from Iceland. More developments, soon.

Eddy Slap is one of the most brilliant Portuguese bass players, with a fabulous academic and stage career, already having played with influential names from erudite music, jazz, fusion and world music. In constant search for new challenges, where the stylistic barriers come down, the young musician is part of the formation of some of the most exciting Portuguese projects of contemporary music such as Uxu Kalhus or Audible Architecture. Eddy Slap, with a solo album coming, shows the opening of its artistic specter by accepting to play the bass in Algorhythmic, an experimental mathcore project whose debut will be under the form of a split, with Haniak.

Ghost Orchid will release a new single baptized “Fabula”. The track is one more instrumental piece - with more nerve and sweat then the previous release - that will also be a part of the dispute “Ghost Orchid versus The Lonely Number”, an EP of remixes/versions where the two musicians/ producers will go head to head to slaughter some tracks from one another.

This instrumental album – planner – comes after his debut ep “atomic sound” – released by the acclaimed netlabel enough records, back in 2007 – and the album “digital nature”. Planner is a fusion piece where electronica dives into trip hop, ambient and even dubstep, on a conscientious vision of the complex web called reality. This work was mastered by André Fernandes (aura, Ghost Orchid, etc).

After the release of the debut single, the first EP from 1 is the Lonely Number “the city has been taken by giant monkeys" is finally available for download. In this work, Deep stories are drawn as fictitious landscapes in an imaginary set that takes us to another dimension. In certain moments the scenes are brutally ripped off  by sights of raw reality. 1 is the Lonely Number, the new solo project from Jóni Vieira, The Other Side's front man, feeds upon the moment. The experimental side and the search for new sounds open a new dimension of musical visions extremely eclectic and diversified.

Grifo is the new alter-ego by Zé Carlos, a Portuguese guitar virtuoso. In this solo project, the multi-instrumentist explores new coordinates heavily rooted on a hard rock/ melodic metal basis, where his guitar gets the major role.

In a ring quite near, the first heavyweight bout for the Abutre heavyweight belt will take place in the beginning of 2009. In "Ghost Orchid vs The Lonely Number" the characters behind both projects will remix some tracks from his opponent's debut EP. More details soon.

1 is the lonely Number is the new solo Project by Jóni Vieira, the lead singer of the Portuguese act The Other Side (whose debut album was released by Rastilho Records, this year). In this lonely adventure, the musician and producer explores new audio  and sentimental coordinates where the echoes of his deep voice  fuse with electronic layers  and ethereal melodies, in a dance where the guitar and bass are diluted in introspective flows of unexpected  organic textures.
